Perfectly United
Hi Everyone,
I am sharing three visions today.
The Visions
The Puddle
I saw a fairly deep and very large flooded parking lot. There were no cars, just water in all directions. I was standing at the edge of the water, not wanting to get my feet wet. However it seemed that there was no way around it, I would have to go through it and get wet.
We all know that there will be trials and difficulties that come our way. We may have no choice in the situation, and be forced to face it head on. Some situations may seem hopeless, like a divorce, or loss of job, a financial crisis, or the loss of a family member. Sicknesses and accidents can overwhelm us and leave us devastated. But the word tells us that our days are ordained for us before one of them existed.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:16
Job faced one disaster after another, all in the same day. His animals were slaughtered, his servants were slaughtered, his children were all killed by the roof collapsing on them, and he did not shake his fist at God or blame him in any way.
Then Job stood up, tore his robe, and shaved his head. He fell to the ground and worshiped, saying: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.” In all this, Job did not sin or charge God with wrongdoing. Job 1:20-22
Just as Job’s faith was tested, Jesus warned his followers that their faith would also be tested.
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
When we face trouble of any kind, we are to seek God and put our trust in him. He will not fail us. Perhaps what we are going through may be an opportunity to learn to trust him more.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
After receiving this vision, I thought “This could be a warning of some unpleasant trial or difficulty on the horizon.” We have to be prepared by the spirit, to respond in the spirit and not in the flesh. Let us reflect on our ability to see things as God does.
Am I walking in the Spirit and not going my own way?
Am I preferring others before myself?
Have I placed my desires ahead of God’s?
Am I fearful of man rather than fearing God?
Am I being obedient to the Lord’s will and to the word of God.?
Am I being self reliant, or am I able to trust the Lord?
Am I seeing things as they truly are, or have I become offended and see things from a prideful perspective?
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24
When we repent of our sinful ways, then God faithfully restores us to right standing with him. We ask him to guide us and to change our hearts so that we no longer desire the things of this world that trip us up. We ask him to help us produce the fruit of the Spirit:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. Jude 1:20-21
The Sewing Needles
In this vision I saw 7 or 8 hand sewing needles on a white surface, like a table top.
A hand needle is usually used to tack down something unseen, like a facing. It is used to close an opening in a garment, to baste two pieces together temporarily, or to sew pieces together where a machine cannot reach. It is used to hem a garment and to do a quick repair. It is used in embroidery or for decorative open work or sewing laces.
Because 7 or 8 needles is more than any one person would use at a time, I thought of several ladies quilting together, a quilting bee.
According to a sewing online website:
The word "bee" in quilting bee doesn’t come from the insect buzzing around your garden—it traces back to Middle English "bene," meaning a favor or collective effort. When colonial Americans needed help with labor-intensive tasks, they turned these work sessions into social events, and by 1769, the term "spinning bee" had entered the record books.
Women transformed the practical necessity of finishing quilts into gatherings that stitched together both fabric and community, creating a tradition where neighbors contributed their time, skill, and conversation.
The Bible has several examples of people gathering together to accomplish a task that would be difficult or impossible to do alone. In the Book of Nehemiah, chapters 3-6, we see that the exiles returned to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. The work was divided among the people and each family or group had their section of wall to repair. As the work progressed, the inhabitants of the region did everything they could to stop its repair. Nehemiah divided the people into groups: those that worked on the wall and those that stood guard. Those that were working carried swords at their sides, and everyone worked diligently sunrise to sunset. The Lord was with them throughout their work. Everyone, even the high priest, and other priests and Levites all helped to rebuild the walls. It was an all out effort that was made. God honored their efforts and caused them to complete the work.
So on October 2 the wall was finished—just fifty-two days after we had begun. When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God. Nehemiah 6:15-16
The Lord’s overall plan is for the church to work together, in peace and in love, to do his work, building his kingdom. We are all part of the body of Christ, and meant to live in harmony. When we are united in purpose, we can accomplish much. So, we are told in the Word of God not to forsake the gathering of the brethren.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10
And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
We are all members of the body of Christ. We are to grow together helping and supporting one another. The Lord places us in the body and gives us gifts and abilities so that we can encourage and build each other up.
As you come to Him, the living stone, rejected by men but chosen and precious in God’s sight, you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5
The vision is about working together as the body of Christ, fully submitted to God and submitted to one another in love, so that there will not be divisions, discord or competition, envy, jealousy or disunity. A quilting bee is a group gathered together to accomplish a task, and in so doing friendships grow strong, and unity is nurtured. This is exactly what the Lord would like to see in his church.
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! Psalm 133:1
As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received: with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3
The Lord values unity for it is his desire for us. This is his prayer to the Father:
I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one— I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.
Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me. And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:20-26
Let us put away our differences and learn to trust one another. Let us live at peace with all men.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Romans 12:18
So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Romans 14:19
The Woman
I saw a woman wearing black tennis shoes with white soles and black knee socks. She also wore a blue skirt with a black cardigan sweater. Just behind her was a house on a hill that rose about 10 feet above the street. She walked down the incline of the lawn towards the curb. There was no sidewalk due to the slope. A telephone pole stood 2 feet from the curb. She stood behind the telephone pole. Was she hiding or waiting for a ride? I could not see her face, but she resembled a neighbor of mine who speaks no English.
I believe that the Lord gave me this vision because he wants us to understand his heart for foreigners, “the sojourners living among us.”
When a foreigner resides with you in your land, you must not oppress him. You must treat the foreigner living among you as native-born and love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
You must not use dishonest measures of length, weight, or volume. You shall maintain honest scales and weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Leviticus 19:33-36
The Lord wants us to love our neighbors, not to take advantage of them. The parable of the Good Samaritan shows how a man of compassion cared for one who had been robbed, mistreated, and left for dead. In the Lord’s parable the Levite and the priest did not care for the man but walked on the other side of the road to avoid him. Jesus asked the expert in the law:
“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
“The one who showed him mercy,” replied the expert in the law.
Then Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.” Luke 10:37
The Jews hated the Samaritans for they were considered a half-breed at best and at worst, idolaters. They had no dealings with them whatsoever. They would avoid going through Samaria, the capital of Israel, (the northern kingdom). Judah was the southern kingdom with its capital in Jerusalem.
Jesus encountered the Samaritans on several occasions, which he used as a teaching opportunity, to show the love of God and reveal God’s plan for his kingdom. One such occasion occurred at Jacob’s well in Sychar, a town in Samaria, when Jesus spoke to a Samaritan woman.
When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
“You are a Jew,” said the woman. “How can You ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God and who is asking you for a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
“Sir,” the woman replied, “You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where then will You get this living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us this well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock?”
Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again. But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”
The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
Jesus told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
“I have no husband,” the woman replied.
Jesus said to her, “You are correct to say that you have no husband. In fact, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. You have spoken truthfully.”
“Sir,” the woman said, “I see that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews say that the place where one must worship is in Jerusalem.”
“Believe Me, woman,” Jesus replied, “a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.”
Jesus answered, “I who speak to you am He.”
Just then His disciples returned and were surprised that He was speaking with a woman. But no one asked Him, “What do You want from her?” or “Why are You talking with her?”
Then the woman left her water jar, went back into the town, and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” So they left the town and made their way toward Jesus… John 4:4-30
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed two days.
And many more believed because of His message. They said to the woman, “We now believe not only because of your words; we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man truly is the Savior of the world.” John 4:39:42
Jesus encountered the Samaritan woman to reach a whole community. The woman, after meeting Jesus, realized that whatever division there had been between the Jews and themselves did not stop God’s plan of salvation. She was excited to bring the good news to her community — she had met the Messiah! His words had given her hope.
“But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
His words were words of freedom! By speaking to her and revealing his identity, she understood his acceptance of her. She was thrilled that even though she had had five men with whom she had been intimate, he showed his love by talking with her. She left her water jar behind, for she wanted the Lord to know that she was coming back!
If the Lord can accept us, as sinners, and Gentiles, how can we not accept others? Our ancestors came to our nation looking for a fresh start. Some came for religious freedom; some came because of famines, and political unrest in their own nations.
When Israel (the northern kingdom) was forced from their land and deported because of their sin and their unfaithfulness to God, they were taken to Assyria and sold into slavery. And when Judah and Jerusalem sinned and were unfaithful, they were taken into captivity by the Babylonians.
As was customary, the poorest of the land were left behind, and the land was resettled by other people groups. The idea was to separate people from their own land and kinsmen, to keep them from acting as a unified force in revolt. They made every effort to encourage assimilation into the culture of the conquering people.
Our Nation’s Dilemma
Today in our nation, there has been a great effort made to undermine our national pride and autonomy by encouraging large migrations of people across our borders. They entice them with promises of free entrance and access to medical care, welfare, freedom and the same rights as citizens. They were looking to shift political power from one group to another. That is why they are against laws that mandate I.D.’s for voting.
We are a nation of laws. But we must remember that God’s laws supersede the laws of man. If God has allowed people into our nation, then we are to accept them as sojourners among us. We are to love and care for them. But because we are a nation of laws, and lawlessness is anarchy, which is also the Spirit of the antichrist, we are called to keep the peace and to stop those that break the law. What we have is a touchy situation.
Those that come with ulterior purposes, to engage in human trafficking, drug smuggling, or terrorist activities as well as other crimes against this country, should be put behind bars or deported to where they can no longer engage in such lawlessness. BUT we should allow ordinary people who want an opportunity like our own ancestors to come freely and to be welcomed by all.
Only God alone knows the hearts and motives of man. If we were not so selfish, but feared God and sought him in our prayers, we would have peace on our borders, love in our hearts, and all the corruption of man in government, and in the market place would be exposed and removed. We want to see people at peace with one another. We want to see that all peoples’ needs are met in Christ Jesus. We should never come from a mindset of lack or of greed. That alone is a sinful attitude, wanting everything for ourselves.
He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. Ecclesiastes 5:10
But if we have faith, then greed will have no hold on us.
“All things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23
Please join me in praying for our nation and the nations around the world. God’s hand is not too short to save. He knows all things, and he is sovereign over the affairs of man. For God’s ways are not our ways.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
We are to respect the authorities over us, for they have been given authority by God alone.
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God. Consequently, whoever resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. Romans 13:1-2
Our nation needs God fearing men and women in office and in places of influence. We need a revival in our land. When people do not know the word of God, they do whatever seems right to them. They operate from the world’s view and the world’s values, not realizing that they are in opposition to God.
“You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4
We are not to embrace the values, and humanistic ideals that come from the world, for man’s thoughts and what he values, he places above God’s. Men claim that their own sense of morality is superior to that of God. They have no fear of Him.
Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8
We are in a spiritual battle. We must seek the Lord, on behalf of our nation and its people. We need to pray in the Spirit, for this is a complicated situation, and we may not know, or understand, how we are to pray. But when we pray in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. If you have not been baptized in the Spirit, please – ask God!
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
Hallelujah! So let’s just pray that the Lord will have his way in our lives, in our friend’s and families’ lives, and in our nation. Lord have your perfect will. Let it be done on earth as it is in heaven!
Thanks for reading. Please share with others. We need to see people come to the Lord, to be set free of sin and to live for him. God bless you all!
